Here we have a Step-by-Step guide for you. Simply download this PDF and follow the Step-by-Step instructions. We also have the instructions below.
Once you own your domains (TLDs), ensure you have purchased “Royalties” for the domains. If you did not purchase “Royalties” when you bought your domains, don’t worry. You can add them—by logging in to your account on Freename. Roll over the person icon and select “TLD List.” then click on one of the domains and click “Manage.” On the left side, you will see “Royalties.” Click on that to allow you to add royalties to this domain. By purchasing “Royalties,” you will receive 50% royalties on all domain purchases. One of the best parts is that Freename handles all the processing of the purchased domains.
The next step is adding a crypto wallet to your account in Freename. They have instructions on doing this. You need to have a wallet in your account.
After you have a wallet, you can “mint” your domains. This lists your domain on the blockchain. To do this, navigate to “TLD List” and just hit the “Mint” button for the domain you want to set up. There are several options for which blockchain you want to mint it on. We suggest Polygon.
Then, you should turn on your reseller page for the domain. Return to “TLD List” and click “Manage” for each domain. Click on “Resell Page.” You can turn on your reseller page and add a custom icon here. Save the changes.
Then follow the instructions to the left. This button will open the Freename website in a new tab.
Congratulations! If you completely all of these steps then you are a Web3 domain registrar!
